- WHO SHOULD REGISTER?
We encourage all recreational players to register. Ages 3-18 are welcome. Registration will be open for the regular season on March 15th and closes on June 15th.
For those players who are planning to try out for Select or Premier level soccer, please wait until after you've completed the try-out process to register.
- WHEN ARE SELECT/PREMIER TRYOUTS?
Starting with 2010 season, CFSC will no longer be hosting select teams. MRFC, the premier club of MRSA, beginning in 2010 will be hosting our select and premier teams.
For anyone looking for tryout information it is posted at the MRFC site. You can find a link to their site on our links page.
If you do not find the information you need there or have questions, please contact CFSC for more information.
- WHAT AGE GROUP SHOULD I REGISTER MY CHILD IN?
To determine the appropriate age group, simply add one year to your child's age on July 31, 2011. (ie: Johnny will be 9 on or before July 31, 2011, so he would be signed up for U-10). This applies to all age groups. Remember that players need to be 3 by July 15,2011 to play. If you are having a problem registering them in the proper age group DO NOT change their birthdate please register then if the next age group below the one they are supposed to register for. (example: James needs to register for BU-8 it wont let you so you would register him for BU-7)
- WHAT IS INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION?
Your child will get a jersey and soccer ball. U11+ will get a regular kelly green jersey, U8-10 will get kelly green and white reversible jerseys, U5-7 will get various colored t-shirt jerseys. Parents will need to purchase shin guards, shorts and socks (coaches will be able to tell you what color). Your registration also covers various other things that will be listed below.
- WHAT SIZE JERSEY SHOULD I REQUEST
Apparel sizing guidelines are available at the following web address: http://www.codefourathletics.com/how_to_order.php#chart
- WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER REGISTERING MY CHILD FOR REGLUAR REGISTRATION?
Shortly after regular recreational registration closes in June, the teams are put together. The rosters are given to the coaches at the end of July at the coaches meeting. Players should expect to be contacted by their coaches on or before August 1st to start practicing. Some of the younger teams coaches may wait until the end of August to start practice. Practice days, the number of practices a week, and practice locations are determined by the coaches and based upon the age group of the players. NO CFSC teams under U-11 should hold practice on the southwood fields.
- WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN REGISTERING FOR THE LATE REGISTRATION / WAITING LIST?
These players will be placed on a waiting list to be placed on a team if openings are still availible when we are finished building teams with the registrations from 3/15/2011-6/15/2011. As a reminder if the player has a coach request the player may not be able to be placed on this team due to it being full. Your best chance of getting on a specific coaches team is to request and sign up early. As teams fill up registrations for that age division will be closed in Bonzi (our registration system) and posted to the front page of our website. 100% Refunds will be sent out on 9/15/2011 by check to the mailing address listed on your registration for all players that can not be placed on a team that are registered for the waiting list. If you would like a refund before that date please contact CFSC's Treasurer at treasurer@cascadefoothillssoccer.org. If the player was placed on a team the player should expect to be contacted by their coach on or before August 1st to start practicing. Some of the younger teams coaches may wait until the end of August to start practice. Practice days, the number of practices a week, and practice locations are determined by the coaches and based upon the age group of the players. NO CFSC teams under U-11 should hold practice on the southwood fields.

Following the Jamboree, teams will have one game per week always scheduled on Saturdays. Games times range from 9am and we try to start games no later than 2pm. The duration of the season is based upon the age of the kids:
U5/U6 usually goes until mid-October;
U7-8 usually goes until late October;
U9-U19 ends somewhere after mid-November

Schedules will be posted to this website and your coaches will be able to tell you when they are posted.

Board members are scheduled to be at the fields. The scheduled board member will be wearing a bright blue coat with CFSC written on the back. They will be located at various places on the fields.
- WHO DO I TURN MY MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS IN TO?
Medical Release forms need to be kept by each coach in case of an emergancy when the parents are not there.
- WHEN AND WHERE DO I GET MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE SIGNED OFF?
You can ask your coach if they are collecting them to have them signed off. If they aren't you can check back on the website for dates that a board member can sign your child off the list. We are trying our best to get them signed off and entered into the computer the first time so that we don't have to ask for them every year.
- WHAT HAPPENS IF I ALREADY HAD MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE SIGNED OFF LAST YEAR?
With several board members we try to get everyones information signed off and entered in correctly the first time. Unfortunately sometimes we miss one or two. Please bring the birth certificate again so we can get it signed off. Once it is in the computer we wont have to ask for it again.
